Spring 2022 marked a key milestone in Crest Nicholson’s development as the very first residents moved into their brand-new homes above the commercial units forming Brightwells Yard’s town square.

The new town square is almost complete, with 18 commercial units now ready to be fitted out beneath the finished apartments.

Brightwells Yard will compliment Farnham’s existing retail and leisure offer, providing extra local facilities and a series of thoughtfully designed public spaces for both new and existing local residents. The new neighbourhood will include a brand new state of the art six-screen cinema, which is on track to be handed over to operators Reel Cinema ahead of the current programme.

Brightwells Yard will also provide the local community with an extra 72 shared-ownership homes, managed by Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH). 48 of these homes will be handed over to MTVH in July with the other 24 handed over in October when the building work has finished. Making up 30 per cent of the 239 homes at the development, these will offer local families the opportunity to secure a new home at a discounted rate.

Adrian Sims, Managing Director for Crest Nicholson South, said: “We are delighted that the first residents have moved into Brightwells Yard. It’s an exciting time for Farnham and we look forward to seeing the community continue to develop over the coming months”.
